When Kristen Wroblewski graduated from Stagg High School in 1996, she set her sights on The University of Chicago and hasn’t looked back since. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics in 2000 and went on to earn a Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Chicago the following year. As a Senior Biostatistician for the Biostatistics Laboratory at U of C, she participates in collaborative research in the areas of survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, and survey data analysis. Kristen’s work focuses on three major research areas. For the Cancer Center, she supports investigators in the design and statistical analysis of clinical trials, observational studies, and basic science experiments. For the Clinical Translational Science Award and Institute of Translational Medicine, Kristen provides analytic and study design support for investigators. She also reviews protocols requesting funding and manages the Biostatistics Clinic which is supported by CTSA funds. Additionally, Kristen is a statistician for the National Social Life, Health and Aging Project, a longitudinal, population-based study of older U.S. adults looking at the relationships between physical/mental health, cognitive function, social connectedness, sexuality, and sensory function with aging. Kristen regularly shares her work through publication including, at last count, 46 articles in 35 journals and 200 collaborations with other authors.
