District 230 has many outstanding alumni who have used their education and experience to become successful, positive contributors to society. District 230 Foundation Legacy Hall was established to recognize and showcase graduates who exemplify the core mission of District 230: adults prepared to realize their life-long potential in an ever-changing world. Through Legacy Hall, we recognize those individuals who have created a legacy for current and future students to follow in the halls of District 230.

Nominations

We will open up 2026 nominations January 1st.

Nominee Criteria
  • Graduated from a District 230 high school at least five years prior to nomination.

  • Made significant contributions and demonstrated leadership and character in his/her field and to his/her community.

  • Posthumous nominations are accepted.

  • Nominees may not be a current D230 staff member.

Induction

Each fall, the District 230 Foundation hosts an annual Legacy event. Inductees are invited back to their alma mater to speak to students and share their accomplishments and stories. 

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
