LEGACY HALL
District 230 has many outstanding alumni who have used their education and experiences to make meaningful contributions in their professions, communities and beyond. The District 230 Foundation Legacy Hall recognizes graduates who exemplify District 230’s mission of inspiring innovation, empathy and leadership, creating a legacy for current and future students to follow.
2026 Legacy Hall Update
The District 230 Foundation has postponed the 2026 Legacy Hall induction ceremony to November 2027 due to scheduling conflicts and the unavailability of several members of this year’s inductee class.
An important part of the Legacy Hall celebration is bringing inductees together with their peers, families and guests to recognize their accomplishments. Rescheduling the ceremony will allow more members of the inductee class to participate and help ensure each honoree receives the celebration they deserve.
Additional details about the November 2027 ceremony will be shared as they become available.
Nominations
Applications for 2027 are currently open.
Nominee Criteria

Graduated from a District 230 high school at least five years prior to nomination.

Made significant contributions and demonstrated leadership and character in their field and to their community.

Posthumous nominations are accepted.

Nominees may not be a current D230 staff member.

Nominations cannot be made by family members.
Induction
The District 230 Foundation hosts a Legacy Hall celebration honoring its inductees. Honorees are also invited back to their alma mater to speak to students and share their accomplishments and stories.
