After Stagg, Dr. Ulaszek graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology. She was the recipient of 12 scholarships from six different organizations awarded to finance undergraduate education. Following undergrad, she went on to the University of Connecticut where she received both a Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
She currently works as an Associate Research Professor at the UConn School of Social Work, and a Principal Investigator at the Research Division of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. She is also the Principal Investigator for a Connecticut Department of Correction funded Smoking Cessation grant, taking a lead role in the evaluation of tobacco dependence among inmates and in establishing and monitoring the progress of Local Implementation Teams in the Department of Corrections Facilities.
