Dr. Pamela Svendsen

Four years after her historic appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy in 1976 asone of he irst women to enroll, Dr. Pamela Svendsen graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. After 7 year on active duty in the U.S. Navy, she attained the rank of Lieutenant and went on to complere her M.D. at Rush Medical College in Chicago. From 1999-2003 she practiced family medicine in Gulfport, Mississippi, working for a non-profit organization where she developed a new practice that had a patient volume of 20-25 patients per day in 2 years. She went on to open her own private practice. Dr. Svendsen's special interest in women's health cause her to begin offering aesthetic medicine services at her Gulfport practice and this experience has finally resulted in the the Skin Solutuions Medical Spa and Wellness Center.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
