Doug Sutor has made a tremendous impact on High School District 230 as a student, teacher, coach and head dean. While at Stagg High School, he lettered four times each in football, basketball and baseball as well as earned All-Area and All-Conference honors in all three sports his senior year. He then attended Lake Forest College as a four-year letter winner on the football team and earned All-Midwest Collegiate Athletic Honors his senior year. Sutor played professionally for the Chicago Fire of the American Football Association. He went on to earn two master degrees, in Human Learning and Development and Educational Administration. He started working at Stagg High School in 1997, moved to Sandburg High School and retired in 2011. He was recognized by the Illinois State Dean's Association in 1997 with its “Rose Award” for outstanding service and as "Dean of the Year" in 2008.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
