Karl Sponholtz

From a very young age, Karl Sponholtz knew that architecture and design were destined to be in his future. After graduating from Andrew High School, he went on to earn his Architecture Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He competed on the popular HGTV Desgin Start television show and made it to the final two. Full episodes of the show reveal his outstanding creativity and talent. Sponholtz says that he can excite people with a passion for design. He charaterizes his personal design preferences as ultra-modern minimalist but often completes traditional designs for his high-end clientele. Sponholtz has worked as a Project Designer for Steven Cole Company, R. Scott Javore & Associates, and Habitar Design.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
