Don Shrader

While attending Stagg High School, Don Shrader made a name for himself on the football field which gained him the notice of Indiana University, Bloomington who offered him a scholarship to play in the Big Ten. He enrolled at IU, started as an Offensive Guard in a total of 45 games and majored in Labor Relations and Personnel Management. After college, he signed as a free agent with the Chicago Bears during their preseason. In that same year and the year to follow, he played and coached for the Birmingham Bulls football team in England and eventually returned to coach football as his beloved college as an Assistant Football Coach. Shrader went on to take a job with Precision Metals and Hardware in Milwaukee where he became President and owner. He returns to Illinois every year to volunteer at Stagg for the annual Anderson Wrestling Meet.
