Barbara Rosenstock (Srebro)

Sandburg High School graduate, Barb Rosenstock is a self-professed lover of any time spent in ANY library, says that she is really good sleeping anywhere, knowing lots of useless stuff, talking and cooking. After a long career in Corporate Marketing and Advertising, Barb returned to school and got her training as an elementary teacher and started her second career writin for children. Barb focuses on practical ways to inspire student writers and she enjoys school author's visits. Barb's first picture book, Fearless: The Story of Racing Legend Louise Smith received a starred review from Publishers Weekly; a "best of" listing in Children's Books 2010: 100 Titles for Reading & Sharing from the New York Public Library and was named a Top Ten selection of the ALA/Amelia Bloomer Project Booklist. She has received many recognitions including a work-in-progress grant from the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators.
