Michael Rogers has left his mark in the world of science and technology. He is a 1978 graduate of Stagg High School where his Physics class focused his career path on engineering. Mike's journey took him to the Illinois Institute of Technology where he received his bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and then to University of Minnesota to earn his Masters. As a vice president, civil engineer and senior project manager, Mike brings nearly 30 years of inductry experience to the role of global practice leader for Waterpoer & Dams for Stantec. He is a recognized technical expert in dam engineering, with a focus on safety, design, and construction. Mke has served in a variety of leadership roles within inductry-related organizations, including time spent as president of the US Society of Dams (USSD) and most recently, as the vice president of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD). He is also the chairman of the USSD and ICOLD technical committees on concrete dams. In 2017, Mike was named to International Water Power & Dawn Construction magazine's Power List.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
