After graduating from Andrew High School, Chris Repa earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He then went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Education from Benedictine University and an additional Masters Degree in Theoretical Science at DePaul University. Repa went on to teach Physics at Oal Lawn Community High School and is the head boys' cross country coach, assistant boys' track and field coach and student council advisor. In 2004, Repa founded "Cross Countries" which is a volunteer student mission organization. The organization has raised nearly $90,000 to finance international mission trips for civic-minded high school students. Over 16 students have already traveled abroad on missionary trips to both Africa and South Africa. This organization has made huge impacts on the students and nations they help.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
