Anthony Raspanti continued his education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to study Biological Sciences. There he was a James Scholar, Evans Scholar, a member of the Freshman Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi as well as the undergraduate honor society Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated Summa cum Laude with his name immortalized on the Bronze Tablet as being among the top 1% of his graduating class from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It was then that he entered medical school at th University of Illinois Chicago. American Board of Surgery Certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, Anthony dedicated the first years of his career serving patients in the Chicago area at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Advocate Condell Medical Center, St. Francis Medical Center and Northwestern Healthcare Medical Center. In addition to improving and saving lives as a surgeon and trauma medical director, Anthony guided the careers of upcoming surgeons as Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery, Assistant Residency Program Director, and Instructor of Surgical Sciences for the University of Illinois Medical School. In 2010, Anthony moved to North Carolina where he currently serves as Director of Surgical Critical Care, General Surgeon, Trauma Mecal Director, and Surgery Service Line Quality Leadr for CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
