Sarah Raskey's art teacher remembers that her talent was apparent even as a student at Andrew High School. Now, Sarah is using those artistic talents to improve people's lives. Sarah is a visionary artist who has exhibited nationally and niternationally, and has created a prolific volume of work in both residential and commercial settings. Her work has been sought after by artists, musicians and entertainers. She did Live Painting during a Snoop Dogg performance an was a keynote speaker for Roycetera Gallery. In 2013, she opened Sarah Raskey Fine Art Gallery in the West Loop. Sarah is also the co-founder and owner of Open Avenue Therapy, a Chicago-based private psychotherapy practice where she provides art therapy services to individuals, couples, and families. Sarah received her Masters in Counseling Psychology: Art Therapy from the Adler School and is an active member of the American Art Therapy Association. She taught psychology and art therapy courses at DePaul University and The Art Institute of Chicago.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
