Lt. Col. Theodore Plucinski

Lt. Col. Theodore Plucinski was a member of the first group of sophomores to transfer from Sandburg to Andrew when it opened. His almost 27 year Air Force career is a testament to his leadership qualities and talents. His military career began after graduating from Michigan State University and receiving his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1984. His first assignment was the 622nd Tactical Control Flight in Rhein Grafenstien Germany. When he returned to the States he was assigned to the 729th Tactical Squadron at Hill Air Force Base. He served in Japan, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bolivia and many assignments around the globe. He has been recognized for many awards such as Global War on Terrorism Medal, Combat Readiness Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and many more.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
