Dr. William Nevin

After graduation from Stagg, Dr. Nevin attended Dartmouth College and then continued his studies at Northwestern University Medical School. After interning at Cook County Hospital, he served in the US Air Force. Nevin then joined the University of Arizona as a fellow and a faculty member. Working with thoracic surgeons at the university hospital, he established the fiber optic bronchoscopy programs at the Tucson VA Hospital, University of Arizona, Tucson Medical Center, and St. Joseph's Hospital, while he continued to teach. Dr. Nevin was the founding member of Pulmonary Associates of Southern Arizona, a pulmonary practice in Tucson. Currently, Dr. Nevin is retired; and he continues teaching medical students and volunteering at the Amistad Clinic where he cares for patients who have no other source of healthcare.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
