While at Sandburg High School, Charles Meyerson delivered the school's morning announcements... fast forward a few years and you find him delivering Chicago area news including 10 years at progressice rock station WXRT-FM, nine years at smooth jazz station WNAU-FM and almost 13 years at Tribune Co. as senior producer and Daywatch columnist at chicagotribune.com. He went on to become principal at Meyerson Strategy, a content strategy, and media consulting practice. Meyerson is an accomplished journalist and has earned awards such as a national United Press International Award for Investigative Reporter as well as several regional UPI, Associated Press, Illinois Broadcasters Association and Chicago Headliner Club accolades. In hihs spare time, Meyerson can be found volunteering for the News Literacy Project where journalists help students sort fact from fiction.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
