Dr. Thomas Lynch, IV is a biomedical research scientist with expertie in cardiovascular pharmacology, immunology and physiology. A 2007 graduate of Carl Sandburg High School, he became highly interested and motivated about science there, where he had a passion for Orchestra, Music, and Science.
Tom went to college at Lewis University to study biology and pharmacology, then to Loyola University where he found a combined specialty in heart and cancer research through pharmacology. He achieved his Doctorate from Loyola in 2016, at age 26. As a Postdoctoral Fellow for the pharmaceutical company AbbVie, Tom strives eventually to reach his goal in orning his own research lab to further research in promoting a healthy heart and cancer therapeutics.
He has received many prestigious honors and awards. A down-to-earth guy, with a great sense of humor and a quick smile, Tom not only is making a difference through his professional work, he also encourages kids' interests in science as a volunteer at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
