Gerald H. Klotz, Jr.

Sandburg High School graduate Gerald Klotz Jr. began his community service in Orland Park more than 40 years ago as a Cub Scout. As a third generation firefighter, he has devoted most of his adult life to making a difference in his community. As an Orland Park Firefighter, he has served as President of a CART/LAAP when this group inititiated the Designated Driver Program. In the early 1990s, CART/LAAP educated many of our young citizens about the life-threatening effects of drunk driving as he participated in presentations at all three District 230 high schools as well as at numerous other private institutions. Klotz also was directly involved with the planning and implementation of the drunk driving awareness / pre-prom programs at Sandburg High School. His volunteerism and committment to the Orland Park Community span four decades.
