Once Brian Kelly graduated from Sandburg High School, he attended Moraine Valley Community College. There he met Governor Him Edgar who asked him to join the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. While traveling to Washington DC, he found that he had the chance to join the Clinton administration. He withdrew from Illinois State University to accept the position. He traveled all over the world with the CLintons and when that was coming to an end, Al Gore gave him a paid position overseeing media logistics for Gore's political campaign. Before the outcome of the election, he accepted a research position with NBC New York. After returning to Orland Park, he suffered brain injuries as a result of a serious car accident. He has advocated, volunteered and fundraised for individuals with brain damage. He has also raised thousands of dollars for a Brain Injuiry Summer Camp.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
