John Keating

John Keating, after earning his Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice from Governors State University, has been a part of the Orland Park Police Department for more than 24 years. He has served in all divisions of the Department as an officer, investigator, and supervisor. He was promoted to the rank of Commander in 2010 and supervised the Criminal Investigations Division. Keating is the recipient of numerous awards for excellence during his years of service such as exceptional service awards, grand cordon awards, and unit citations. He has also received an honorable mention from the Center for Missing and Exploited Chicago for his work involving an international family adbuction case and he was selected by his fellow police officers as the Officer of the Year in 1993.
