Darshan Jain

After graduating Sandburg High School, Darshan Jain earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Science in Teaching Secondary Methematics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Jain has held many positions over the years including several engineer positions. He is now a high school math teacher at Adlai Stevenson High School. Jain has been recognized for his excellence in teaching with awards including being named an Illinois State Finalist for the Presidential Awards in Mathematics and Science Teaching, the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching and more. He believes that the classroom should be a safe haven for students to disagree, make mistakes, to question, and to have alternative solutions.
