While at Stagg, Sara Howe was actively involved in the school's teen leadership Project Snowball retreat and now in her professional life oversees the statewide Project Snowball and Illinois Teen Institute. She is the Chief Executive Officer of the Illinois Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Association.
She holds a Master's degree in Health Promotion with a research emphasis in Collediate Peer Alcohol Abuse Prevention and a Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion from Purdue University. She is lead author of the October 2001 publication in the American Journal of Health Behavior "Evaluating a Fear Appeal Message to Reduce Alcohol Use Among 'Greeks.'"
She offers professional counsel to Stagg High School and District 230 and was integral in bringing together a panel of experts for the District 230 S4 Symposium on Empowering Teens to Make Good Choices in 2014.
