Kristyn graduated from Northwestern University with a major in Radio, Television and Film. Her first job was in Missouri as a reporter. She next took a job at WMBD-TV in Peoria, Illinois as weekend anchor and producer. Then to Phoenix as a general assignment reporter at KTVK-TV covering a wide range of topics. Her most memorable moment there was her 25-minute interview with President Bill Clinton. Then to Charlotte, North Carolina as the 10pm newscaster. In 2004, Kristyn came home to Chicago and worked for WBBM-TV, Channel 2 as the morning anchor. During her last three years in Chicago, she was the marquis reporter at 10pm which was a dream come true. In 2012, she moved to Columbus, Ohio as the main anchor at WBNS-TV. Since 2017, Kristyn is the anchor for WCPO-TV in Cincinnati as well as the health reporter. Her proudest moment so far was the story she did about her father's iconic Vietnam War photo in Ken Burn's documentary. Over the course of her career, she has won four regional Emmys, three regional Murrow awards, and two Ohio AP Awards. Kristyn's career has given her a platform to champion causes. Among them is the importance of early detection of breast cancer. A survivor herself, Kristyn has used her personal story to educate and inspire others. She also is a champion for Habitat for Humanity, the right for all perople to be treated fairly and eually, and the American Heart Association.
