Once David Harris graduated from Stagg High School, he pursued a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He then went on to Yale Law School and graduated in 1983.
After working as a Law Clerk in the Uited States District Court, he worked in the litigation department of Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen of Philadelphia. While attending Georgetown University Graduate School of Law, he was awarded the E. Barrett Prettyman Fellowship. He then took a position with the Office of Public Defender in Montgomery County Maryland defending impoverished clients.
Harris went on to take a teaching position with University of Toledo - College of Law before teaching at the University of Pittsburg - School of Law. He has published many articles and commentated on many nationally televised channels.
