Keith Edmier

While attending Andrew High School, Keith Edmier participated as a member of the varsity tennis team, art club, photo club and dramatic performances. After graduation, he moved to LA to study at the California Institute of Arts in Valencia to pursue a career creating Special Make-Up Effects in the film industry. Edmier's first job was working for Academy Award-winning make-up artist Rick Baker on Michael Jackson's "Captain Eo," made for Disney and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. He continued his career in the film industry supervising effect for films such as "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Bride of Re-Animator." Edmier moved on to work in New York as a fine artist. He has since exhibited his work internationally at many galleries. His work remains on display in numerous private and public collections.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
