(with Bob & Dino Kouresli) These Stagg alumni, known as The Loverhammers are known for their charitable work as well as their musical talents. Marty Casey, Bob Kourelis and Dino Kourelis got the band together while at Stagg and released their first full-length album titled Ultrasound in 1997. By 2000, the band had acquired a large fan base in the Midwest by winning several Battle of the Bands and booking gigs at notable venues and festivals including the House of Blues, Taste of Chicago and Milwaukee's Summerfest. Their DVD "Live/Raw" debuted at number 1 on the Billboard musical DVD chart in 2004. They have played at the Animal Rescue Foundation "Stars to the Rescues" event, the "Dare 2 Dream" Benefit Concert with portions of proceeds going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and many other benefit concerts and events.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
