While at Sandburg High School, Edward Andrew maintained perfect attendance all four years, was a member of band and jazz band, was on Swim Guard all four year, and was President of Swim Guard during his senior year. Andrew went on to college and then joined the family business, The Andrew Corporation. Now retired, Andrew found a new calling in bowling and created a bowling team for students at Chicago Christian High School. The Andrew Family Foundation, started by Edward J., Edith G. Andrew and their five children, is founded on the principle of improving the quality of life of individuals by providing the tools and opportunities that can enrich the individual's life and help them become productive citizens. The foundation awards a four-year scholarship to those who are recognized leaders.

ABOUT US 

The District 230 Foundation is a partnership between community volunteers and school leaders to provide educational opportunities and services for students beyond what the typical budget can fund. The Foundation provides grants that bring teachers' creative ideas to life for students, as well as scholarships to graduating seniors from Sandburg, Stagg and Andrew High Schools. The District 230 Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; contributions are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
