Wellness Room
This project seeks a second year of nearly $1,400 in funding to ensure the long-term sustainability and meet the growing demand (638 drop-ins in one semester) for the Stagg Wellness Room, a dedicated space for promoting student social-emotional well-being. The room offers a safe, quiet environment with resources like comfortable seating, low lighting, weighted blankets, and sensory items for students to manage stress and develop healthy coping skills. Every student has access to the room during non-instructional time (lunch/study hall) and intervention for Wellness Enrichments, allowing them to preemptively self-regulate before needing more intensive interventions, thereby increasing focus and classroom engagement. The funds will be used to purchase additional items like zero gravity loungers and sensory sets to maintain the space's capacity and demonstrate the school's commitment to holistic student success.
